This new form of Disney transportation offers guests of Epcot and Hollywood Studios a new option. Service from these two parks to four resorts make navigating Disney easier than ever before.
Skyliner Travel Times & Operating Hours
Travel times may vary. A normal ride per route takes approximately less than 10 minutes. I visited on a Monday after popular Disney marathon weekend. I was able to walk right on with no wait at all. Keep in mind weather conditions are well may cause delays and closures. Storms pop up in minutes notice here in the Sunshine State. Keep this in mind when utilizing this form fo Disney transportation.
Disney Skyliner Air Conditioning
Gondolas do not have air conditioning. Gondolas are equipt with air vents towards the top to help with air flow. I rode on a typically warm day in Florida with temperatures reaching 80 degrees. The inside of the gondola was completely comfortable. I was very surprised and expected the air to be stifling inside. Totally not the case at all. Must be Disney magic.
Skyliner Gondolas Capacity
Each gondola can fit up to 10 riders. Two wooden benches can accommodate riders. 5 guests per bench for a comfortable fit.

When Does Disney Skyliner open?
Open now and waiting for you to ride! This form of Disney transportation opened on September 29, 2019.
Let me share my thoughts and honest opinion with you! My entire ride was much smother than anticipated. The gondola was comfortable with plenty of leg room. The atmosphere and air flow was comfortable. Transitioning over concrete support posts during the ride wasn’t noticeable and was uneventful. If you have a fear of heights… then this probably isn’t the best option for you. Keep in mind this gondola ride takes you outside of Disney’s parks and over public streets.
Will I ride again? Yes, absolutely! I love this transportation option… even though I thought I would hate it.
