Honey Mint Moscow Mule Recipe
In celebration of National Vodka Day, I’m share a recipe for the drink that ignited a whole new way to enjoy spirits, The Moscow Mule. In a time where whiskey and bourbon were thee drink, John Martin of Smirnoff wanted to prove that clear spirits could hold their own. He mixed Smirnoff vodka with ginger soda and a spritz of lime, served in a signature copper mug creating The Moscow Mule. The rest as they say….. is history!
After a recent visit to our local farm for apples and pumpkins, I picked up local honey. Later that evening as I was preparing a cocktail for my husband after work, I got the genius idea to add local honey to kick up the taste of a Moscow Mule! Local honey with mint is a perfect balance to the tart ginger making this cocktail sweet and smooth!
