Skyler’s Graduation Party | How To Plan A Small Graduation Party | Graduation Party Ideas
Important milestones in a child’s life continue to flow like endless waves in the ocean. Learning to crawl, talking, walking, kindergarten, sports, junior high, music concerts and more. I’m baffled at how quickly the days have past. With our oldest daughter graduating high school, I choose not to be sad. I’m thankful for this new milestone, the smart, confident young lady she has grown to be, and the blessing bestowed upon me as her momma! As with all milestones, its time to celebrate. I want to share a few of my graduation party ideas and favorite tips on how to plan a small graduation party.
What Is The Best Way To Plan A Graduation Party?
After selecting a date and time for the party. You need to create the guest list. Then send invitation in the mail. If you are short on time, create a Facebook Event. An online invitation will notify guests quickly of your party time, date, and location. Keep in mind, the number of people invited directly correlates with the amount of food and drinks you will need to provide. In addition to the amount of space you will need for the location of the party.
Who Should I Invite To My Graduation Party?
We decided to have Skyler’s graduation party at our home. Inviting guests to come over after her commencement ceremony. With many out of state visitors already traveling to Florida in order to watch Skyler receive her diploma. It made the most sense to have the party immediately afterwards. Our guest list of our closest family, friends, and co-workers quickly took shape.
Graduation Party Menu Ideas
Food can make or break a party. A mixture of prepared food purchased from local establishments, in addition to freshly prepared homemade food items is the ticket to a stress free party. Chicken nugget trays from our local chicken restaurant were a big hit. Just reheat them in the oven for 10 minutes. The chicken nuggets were crisp and tasty, as if they were freshly made. Subs pre-sliced from the local deli are great for finger food. Cake and cupcakes from the local bakery are affordable, delicious, and the focal point for graduation party decor. Other Fresh from Florida options included a veggie pizza topped with broccoli, carrots, and cherry tomatoes. In addition, deviled eggs, cheese and crackers, a veggie tray with ranch, and spinach dip with pumpernickel bread were delicious options for our guests to enjoy.
With our recent move to Florida it is important for me to showcase produce Fresh From Florida. With watermelon in season now in Florida, I made a colorful fruit bowl right inside of a whole watermelon. Create your own by cutting off the top of a watermelon. Then, use a small melon baller to core out the inside of the watermelon. Cut up Fresh From Florida strawberries, blueberries, and other fruits to create a bright and vibrant fruit salad. Score the edges of the watermelon to give the rim a pretty visual presentation.
Fresh From Florida sweet corn grilled to perfection is the perfect addition to any graduation party menu. Find other recipes to include at your graduation party on the Fresh From Florida Website.
As I was visiting with friends and family, I noticed our guests kept making their way back to the watermelon fruit salad. Sweet like candy…. but healthy in the best way possible Fresh From Florida.

As you can see from the empty watermelon above, I managed to grab a small bowl before the entire watermelon fruit salad disappeared! Our small graduation party was a huge success. Our Astronaut High School graduate was full of smiles all night long.
