Fun Things To Do In Destin With Teens

A trip to Florida’s Gulf Coast can be relaxing and rejuvenating to the soul. Are you craving time to reconnect as a family. I’ve got a list of all the fun things to do in Destin with teens. These unique and fun things to do in Destin are guaranteed to get your teens to put down their cell phone and live in the moment.

Fun Things To Do In Destin With Teens
1. The Beach
The first time you visit the ocean is epic. The memories from viewing this natural wonder up close will be imprinted on your mind forever. Seeing the endless waves is calming in our crazy lives where it’s hard to be present in the moment. Take time to walk along the beach with your feet in the water. Search for seashells to take home as souvenirs. Grab a bucket and shovel to make sandcastles with your teens just as you did when they were babies. Put your bathing suit on and jump the waves in the ocean hand and hand with your teen. So fun!

2. Dinner at Gulf Coast Burger Co.
Burgers and fries are a staple food for teens. This family owned restaurant takes these food favorites to an all new level. Choose from The All American Buger, The Mac Attack (pictured above), or The Islander featuring the protein of your choice topped with pineapple, pico, Sting & Honey garlic, red onion, and pepper jack cheese served ciabatta bread.

Make sure you save room for dessert after your dinner at Gulf Coast Burger Co! Their Cat 5 shakes are a cyclone of sugary goodness and the perfect addition to any meal. Your teen will want to put these delicious shakes on “The Gram” for sure. Our favorite is the Chocolate Supreme. A thick chocolate shake topped with mini M&M’s, Kit Kat minis, pretzel sticks, brownie, whipped cream, and drizzled chocolate syrup!

Shopping In Destin
3. Murals And Shopping at Destin Commons
Walk around and shop to your hearts content! Destin Commons has been voted “Best place to Shop In Destin” because of the stellar lineup of trendy stores. This outdoor shopping mecca features 95+ stores that are sure to please even the pickiest teenager! Your teens will also love the murals for photo ops at Destin Commons. Find four artsy murals located on the outer buildings by Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen.
Their kids play area is fun for teens, too!

The Track
Take the kids to the arcade on a rainy day in Destin. On beautiful sunny days enjoy, mini golf, bumper cars, blaster boats, and a 3 level go cart course. When your kids have a need for speed or ants in their pants… The Track is the place to be!

Grand Boulevard Farmer’s Market
Take the family to purchase hand picked local produce from the local farmers market. This is a great way to get your kids to eat healthy and fresh fruits and vegetable. The market is open year round. Visit on Saturdays from 9am-1pm. Come early for the best selection.

Find Coastal Cookies there on selected weekend offering their tasty and beautiful cookies. While at the market, we spoke to a few gentlemen from Haven House. Haven House has several amazing thrift shops in the area. Thrifting is so fun with kids. Did you know thrift shopping is the hip thing to do? Take a chance to find amazing treasures at bargain prices. Even better, all purchases at Haven House support the ministry to help addicts in recovery to lead a healthy life.
