Tuna Salad Recipe

What are the ingredients for tuna salad?

This healthy twist on the classic tuna salad recipe is delicious.

You will need:
A ripe avocado
Starkist Tuna Creations Hickory Smoked Pouch – 2.6oz
6 grape tomatoes – halved
3 mini peppers – any color – diced
green onion – thinly sliced
1 tsp Ranch Salad Dressing
salt and pepper

Mix all ingredients. Serve immediately.

How to serve this avocado tuna salad recipe:

The options are endless when serving tuna salad. Aside from eating right out of a bowl with a fork, A few favorites include serving in lettuce cups, on crackers, or on a croissant.

What can I mix with tuna instead of mayo?

My avocado tuna salad recipe doesn’t require any mayo as the avocado has the creaminess to pull the ingredients together that mayo traditionally does. If you love mayo, then by all means add a teaspoon to the ingredients above. Greek yogurt is an ingredient option I use often in place of mayo in many recipes.

What to add to tuna to make it taste better?

You can create different tuna salad recipes based solely on the seasonings.  I prefer to keep it simple with adding salt and pepper to season this tuna salad recipe. Honestly, this recipe is a blank canvas for you to season. A few creative options for additions to this recipe include sriracha, everything bagel seasoning, sesame oil, or teriyaki sauce.
