Finding the energy to stay motivated to exercise regularly can be challenging and an uphill battle for most people. As a busy mother of four children, I find I’m really good at keeping up with household duties, succeeding at work, or keeping on track to lead a healthy lifestyle. If I’m being honest though….it’s often a struggle to balance all three and stay motivated to exercise regularly. I’m a rockstar at one or two areas that I define as leading my family sucessfully. But never all three areas at once. Exercise seems to be the easiest to cut from my daily to do list when things get hectic. Once I’m not exercising regularly, then my good eating and sleeping habits fly out the window. It’s a quick spiral to get completely sidetracked from your fitness goals.
With the holidays quickly approaching, I’m sharing a few tips on how to stay motivated to exercise regularly! My mind is clearer and I’m happier overall when I commit to exercising and eating healthy! Make yourself and your overall health and wellness a priority! Why wait until the new year to reach your fitness goals?
Follow These 3 Tips To Stay Motivated To Exercise Regularly:
1.Exercise Should Be Fun – Commit to moving to stay motivated to exercise regularly. New to fitness? Start with walking. Don’t like treadmills or gyms because they seem intimidating? Pick an activity that you love and just do it! Did you know it only takes 21 days to create a habit? For me, it’s running (I started walking) this bridge by my house. I go every morning after dropping my kids off at school. On days I feel sluggish or unmotivated, I remind myself that it isn’t an option to come home until I’ve ran the bridge!
2. Dress The Part – Each morning dress for success. Immediately put your workout clothes on so you are prepared for the task at hand. Why not wait until later to put on your workout clothes? Waiting adds an extra hurdle to stay motivated to exercise regularly. Minimize the obstacles in your way that prevent you from reaching your fitness goals!
3.
