Gunner hasn’t been feeling very good. With his white blood cell count being low due to his leukemia, it’s not an option for us to go out in public right now, much less visit a movie theatre. When I discovered Paddington was being released on iTunes, I decided to created a fun, Paddington, movie night at home! After we watched the movie, which was so funny and cute! We played Paddington bingo, memory game, and then it was time for dessert!
Then when we were done we made these adorable Paddington cupcakes. I printed off extra copies of the Paddington memory game. Then, cut out each shape. Place the paper cut out image on top of a cupcake (I used Duff’s Cake Mix). Sprinkle over top each cupcake with powdered sugar. Remove the paper template from the cupcake. Your left with a gorgeous cupcake that looks like it was made in the fanciest London bakery!
We used the same idea to create this adorable cupcake featuring the silhouette of Paddington’s head. Print off the coloring sheet below and cut out just the area of his head and hat. Gently place on top of frosted cupcake. Shake sprinkles over top the cupcake. Then remove the paper template. You can change up the color of the frosting, sprinkles, or add frosting gel or candies to further accent Paddington’s face. I let my kids personalize their own and then enjoyed their giggles as the ate their creations.!
Looking for a more sophisticated dessert for the adults at your movie night party? Create Chocolate Marmalade parfaits with layered chocolate cake, marmalade jam, and vanilla pudding. (Go healthy and use vanilla greek yogurt) Sprinkle with blue sugar crystals!
My family really enjoyed our Paddington movie night fun! Will you create a Paddington movie night for your family? Who do you like to watch movies with? Do you prefer to watch movies in the theatre or in the comfort of your own home?
