My love for running started in grade school. Running is so freeing to the soul. My mind goes on auto-pilot and I can just be when I’m pounding pavement with my ponytail flopping in the breeze. I competed in cross country and track for several years during school. I was in the best physical shape of my life during the running years.
Then during the pregnancy and birth of my son, I suffered severe nerve damage in my pelvis. The end result was partial paralysis in my left leg from the knee down. During that time it became crystal clear. Never take for granted the ability to walk or run. As I sat there on the couch willing my legs to work to no avail. My heart was so sad. I promised myself to really commit to living a healthy and fulfilling active lifestyle. After months of physical therapy I was able to make small steps to regain full use of my left leg again. I started back exercising slowly with walking on the treadmill and was finally able to run again! The crucial element to recommitting to a life of fitness is great running shoes! Introducing the Mizuno Wave Rider 18!

Mizuno Wave Rider 18 Women’s Running Shoes Are Available in These Colors:
Blue Atoll/Silver/Blue Depths
I’ve been exclusive to Mizuno for several years now. When Mizuno announced the addition of the new Mizuno Wave Rider 18, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on a pair! The fit is impeccable. The Mizuno Wave Rider 18 is ready for lacing up and running right out of the box. The best part is you don’t have to go through a period of sore feet to get your running shoes ready for the road.
My favorite feature of the Mizuno Wave Rider 18 is that the running shoe is incredibly lightweight. The base tread provides a firm stable grip with each step that gives me the confidence to take strong long strides. The design in the ankle area is very supportive while the toe box has plenty of room to stretch my toes during strides. The Wave Rider 18 fits my foot like a glove, while flexing with every step. My teenage daughter who is now following in my footsteps on the cross-country running team loves the Wave Rider 18 so much she asked me to purchase a pair for her as well!
