My family recently took a weekend trip to Houston to attend The Houston Bloggers Holiday Party to benefit Star of Hope. You can read more about that here! I knew there was no way we could go to Houston and not visit Johnson Space Center! It’s on our bucket list of places to visit and this was the perfect opportunity!
When I began my research for the trip, I knew there are several places to visit in Houston including the Houston Aquarium, Houston Museum of Natural Science, Houston Zoo, and The Children’s Museum. With a family my size it would cost a small fortune , but with CityPass we can visit all for almost the same price as the single admission to Johnson Space Center!
CityPass offers a 50% savings to the top 5 Houston attractions! A traveling bargain shoppers dream to get the best bang for their buck!
City Pass is available in these cities:
- New York
- San Franscisco
- Southern California
This was our first sight upon arrival at Johnson Space Center. My rocket boy had a smile on his face from ear to ear. I love to see the excitement in his eyes when he is in his element! The kids were excited to explore as well! My perfect combination when traveling combines education and fun! For our family Johnson Space Center has the best of both!
When you arrive I highly suggest you bypass the indoor exhibits and go directly towards the back of the building to get in line for the guided tram tours. There are two to choose from visit Mission Control or The Astronaut Experience. Tours go by the hour and fill up very quickly. With the limited amount of space, you don’t want to miss the chance! Take the tour and then explore the exhibits and films afterwards!
Houston we have a problem! It was surreal to view the console were so many important decisions were implemented! From Mission Control our journey continued to include in a viewing of the rocket Saturn 5. The engines were massive along with the building that houses the rocket!
After our tram tour ended, we explored the exhibits inside! Kids Space Place has an Angry Birds area for kids to explore and play while learning hands on about all elements of space exploration! After you have explored, stop at the gift shop before you leave to gather a few souvenirs. CityPass ticket holders enjoy a 10% discount on purchases.
