Social Media on The Sand is a blogger conference mixed with fun and learning experiences at Beaches Resorts. A meeting of the brightest starts in the social media arena. During the conference, bloggers attend specialized sessions to hone their craft. Social Media on The Sand is an immersion into the all-inclusive amenities Beaches Resorts has to offer for couples or families to relax on the sandy shore of Jamaica! There isn’t a more beautiful location to attend a work conference. Plus, the hospitality and all inclusive amenities and activities offered by Beaches Resort are simply luxurious.
When my invitation arrived in my email, I was beyond excited! My first international travel experience. Time to expedite that passport! (watch for an upcoming article for everything you need to know to obtain your passport quickly)
Even though Beaches Resorts is family friendly with many activities to keep kids entertained while on property. My husband and I decided Social Media on The Sand was the perfect opportunity to spend a few days together on a romantic couples getaway to reconnect as a couple.
The monotony of daily life, the pressure of mounting bills, school drop off, after school activities, and stress of trying to balance it all can take a toll on your marriage. Let’s be honest… It’s easy getting married. You get to plan a beautiful wedding, wear a gorgeous dress like a princess, and celebrate your wedding day surrounded by loved ones. That’s easy, right? The hard part is staying married! Loving your spouse when they aren’t being very lovable isn’t an easy task. It’s difficult to put your spouses wants and needs before your own. Especially when they can’t even pick up their dirty socks off the floor and put them in the laundry hamper.
Add to that a critical diagnoses of cancer for your nine year old son and life becomes even more complicated! I pray that you aren’t on the same cancer journey as we are. But, maybe you’re struggling with something different, an aging parent, or busy schedules that have you passing like ships in the night.
I’m looking forward to lazy mornings in bed without a cute kid coming into join us for snuggles. Meals at Beaches Resorts Jamaica, without having to cut food into bite sized pieces will remind me of life before our four kids were born.
My husband is looking forward to his first spa treatment and our first couples massage. Hello, adults only pool with swim up bar! Jerk chicken, rum runners, and amazing Jamacian sunsets in abundance.
And you know what? I don’t feel one bit guilty for leaving the kids at home for this trip. Loving their dad, reconnecting as a couple, and nurturing our marriage is the best gift we can give our children! When was the last time you went on a romantic couples getaway?
