Full Disclosure: I received free products in order to host the Disney Side @Home Celebration. The opinions expressed here are my own.
Everyone has a DisneySide! Have you watched Disney movies since you were a young kid, sported the infamous mouse on your favorite t-shirt, or made the pilgrimage to Disneyland or Disney World? Everyone has their own special way to celebrate all things Disney!
My love for Mickey Mouse began as a little girl. I have fond memories of our road trip from Ohio to Disney World located in Central Florida. The first time I laid eyes on Cinderella’s Castle was simply magical. After having four children of our own, it was only a matter of time before we made plans to create our own Disney family excursion. Last year before Gunner’s diagnosis, we made the trip to Disneyland in California.
During our week at Disneyland we met characters a plenty. The kids giggled with delight as Cruella de Vil gave me the cold shoulder and a snide remark in passing while walking down Main St! We enjoyed a Dole Whip while watching all of our favorite characters in the parade. Multiple rides along Route 66 on Radiator Springs Racers, our first experience on a roller coaster that takes you through water on Splash Mountain and Matterhorn Bobsleds, and an epic water and light show from World of Color. While Gunner was sick in the hospital we reminisced about all the fun we had while at Disneyland. During his harsh chemo treatments, I would remind him of those magical moments. Our DisneySide gave him hope to push through. Now that he is cleared to travel again we are planning our next trip to Disney! Life is all about celebrating life’s special memories made with those you love!
Our friends from DisneySide @Home Celebrations sent us a fun package to host a party with friends and family to show our DisneySide.
Our guests arrived ready to share in all things Disney! We started off with a cup of Twinings of London tea and devils food cupcakes because we are celebrating Disney villains!
Then we played DisneySide Bingo featuring Disney parks, attractions, characters, and resorts. The first bingo called scored the winner a Disney Villains puzzle!
Our guests created personalized bracelets with their own DisneySide photos with our My Image Bracelets Maker. The FREE MyPhotosizer app was super easy to download and make our image card!
Once everyone made their own bracelet, then we took turn giving manicures to each other. Maleficent inspired nail art was so fun and easy to do! After everyones nails were magnificent, we settled in for a Disney movie! Maleficent, of course!
Party favors for guest to take home were in the shape of a diamond for Disneyland’s Diamond celebration! The templates were easy to cut and fold by hand! Then, guests filled their Disneyland 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration Favor Boxes with their favorite candy as our DisneySide celebration came to an end.
How do you show your DisneySide? What is your favorite Disney movie? Have you visited a Disney World or Disneyland?
