On November 6, 2013 Electrolux partnered with Friends-of-Food52 Phoebe Lapine, Jennifer Perillo, and Camille Becerra for a cook-off to determine who could cook the best Pan Roasted Cauliflower from Food52’s Your Most Impressive Dinner Party Side contest! These three chefs cooked on on three different Electrolux cooktops including gas, electric, and induction.
The atmosphere of the cook-off entertaining as the chefs discussed tips about cooking on the different cooktops! It was exciting to listen to Amanda and Merrill emcee the event while interacting with Electrolux and Food52.com fans via Facebook and Twitter during the live feed!
This was the winning dish! Pan Roasted Cauliflower! It was very clear during the live cook-off, the Electrolux Induction cooktop gave the chef a huge advantage! The induction cooktop alleviated the need to preheat your pan. The induction cooktop had the pan at temperature within 30 seconds! That is a quick heat up time! A quick tip I also learned during the cook-off is that when cooking on an induction cooktop the pan is the heat source so you don’t have to worry about children getting burned . The induction cooktop will remain cool to the touch! As a mother of four I think that is an amazing safety feature for the kitchen!
One lucky lady who interacted during the live streaming cook-off was the winner of an Electrolux induction cook-off! She will be able to cook Pan Roasted Cauliflower on her very own induction cooktop! I couldn’t be happier for her and hope to purchase my own very soon!
