BRIO Tuscan Grille | It’s A Risotto Celebration | Orlando Fine Dining
Date nights for the past few months have got lost in the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. After discovering “It’s a Risotto Celebration” at BRIO Tuscan Grille. I knew it was time to revive date nights in the new year! One of my favorite outings with my husband is to visit a new restaurant. Uninterrupted conversations without children present are worth their weight in gold for any marriage. It’s a time to reconnect, while enjoying good food and conversation. As true foodie, these outings also enable me to find the best restaurants in Orlando to share with you.
BRIO Tuscan Grille located centrally in Orlando at the Millenia Mall serves Italian inspired dishes made with high quality ingredients. Our evening was filled with an endless supply of amazing culinary creations. Including these most requested appetizers at BRIO!
Spicy shrimp & eggplant features pan seared shrimp, Romano crusted eggplant, with a black pepper cream sauce. I’m going to be completely honest with you… I’m not a fan of eggplant. I had it as a kid and thought the texture was weird. It’s probably been 30 years since I last ate eggplant. I took a bite promising to have an open mind and I’m so glad I did. BRIO’s spicy shrimp & eggplant is super flavorful. The deep flavors of the black pepper cream sauce are reminiscent of gumbo with a distinct Creole flavor profile. The eggplant was simply delicious. Our server explained BRIO’s eggplant is unique because the eggplant is soaked in buttermilk prior to frying to provide a soft silky texture inside contrasting with a crunchy outside texture to the savory eggplant. So so good y’all!!
With our meal, we sampled tasty cocktails available for a limited time during BRIO’s – “It’s A Risotto Celebration!” On the right, pictured above is the Maple Bourbon Smash. This cocktail features Maker’s Mark, Monin Maple, lemon juice, rosemary simple syrup, a dash of bitters with an orange garnish. If you’re looking for strong and smooth… this cocktail is for you! On the left, pictured above is the Grapefruit Gin Smash. This tart and tangy cocktail features Beefeater Gin, grapefruit juice, rosemary simple syrup, and a lime garnish. This refreshing cocktail pairs perfectly with all varieties featured during BRIO’s – It’s A Risotto Celebration! Also available is the Bulleit Rosa. BRIO Tuscan Grille – It’s A Risotto Celebration Selections include:
- Sea Scallop Risotto: pan seared sea scallops, ratatouille vegetables, basil, and red peppers
- Salmon Risotto: grilled salmon, mushrooms, red peppers, asparagus, and basil
- Sweet Potato & Chicken Risotto: oven roasted chicken, pancetta, asparagus, and toasted pine nuts

It’s A Risotto Celebration features the classic Italian rice dish with a elevated culinary twist. BRIO’s risotto is cooked to al dente in a broth to a creamy consistency. I opted for Shrimp Risotto & Broiled Lobster Tail. My husband enjoyed Sea Scallop Risotto. Often regarded as a temperamental dish to prepare in the kitchen…I can assure you our risotto was cooked to perfection. My lobster tail served nestled on top of risotto was succulent. My husband’s risotto was equally impressive. The sear on the scallops was impeccable!
Just when I thought I couldn’t manage another bite. I quickly came to the conclusion… “It’s A Risotto Celebration” isn’t complete until you’ve tasted BRIO’s Molten Chocolate Cake. This decadent cake is served warm with a molten chocolate center. Then topped with white chocolate raspberry gelato and mascarapone cream. So delicious… I’m almost embarrassed to tell you how quickly it was consumed.
